Keystone Resort Lift Ticket options
There are multiple ways to ski and ride Keystone Resort. The most cost-effective and guaranteed way to have the lift ticket to gain resort access when you want is to prepurchase lift tickets or make a preseason purchase of one of the Epic Pass options.
Keystone Lift Tickets
You can purchase Keystone lift tickets in three distinct age group categories. Adult (ages 13 – 64), Child (ages 5 – 12) and Senior (ages 65+). Keystone lift tickets come in single or multi-day options. If your skiing and riding with a child age 4 or under you can simply go to the ticket window and pick up a free lift ticket for them. The free child lift tickets are exempt from the lift ticket available restriction during holiday times, explained below.
Caution: Limited Lift Tickets During Peak Times
Due to the ever increasing popularity of Vail Resorts managed properties including Keystone, its proximity to Denver, and the success of their Epic Passes, lift tickets will be limited during popular holiday periods across Christmas, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and President’s Day and any other days the resort chooses to.
What this means is that you will not be able to walk up and buy a lift ticket on these days from the ticket window and so this is why it is best to prepurchase your lift tickets to guarantee you can ski and ride when you want to.
Keystone EPIC Pass Options
There are several Epic Pass options for you to ski and ride Keystone and many other Vail resorts depending on the specific Epic pass option that you purchase.
Please be aware that Epic Passes go on sale in the US in late Feb and go off sale around late November early December. You cannot buy an Epic pass during the winter season, as it’s only sold as a preseason prepurchase.
EPIC Pass (Is like a Season Pass)
Unlimited access with no blackout dates
This is like a season pass and is the best value if you plan on skiing multiple resorts and as much as you can this winter. However, there are other more specific Keystone Epic pass options.
Keystone Plus Pass
Unlimited access with no blackout dates
This is the best value parr if you plan on skiing and riding Keystone Resort all season. It also offers limited access to Breckenridge (Spring) and Crested Butte.
Summit Value Pass
Unlimited access with no blackout dates
This pass is ideal if you wish to ski and ride Keystone and Breckenridge.
EPIC Local Pass
Here is where it gets more complicated but you still get unlimited access with no blackout dates to Keystone and Breckenridge. You also get a mix of resort access to many more of Vail Resorts resorts.
EPIC Day Pass
There are two types of Epic Day Passes. You can pay less and get holiday restrictions (blackout days) or pay more with no holiday restrictions
The Epic Day Pass is a non-refundable season pass product offered in advance of the season that provides a discount of up to 68% off of lift ticket window prices.
The Epic Day Pass comes in the number of days you want, from 1 day to 7 days, and whether or not to add holiday access. If you add holiday access you pay more for the pass. Days do not need to be used consecutively.
When purchased with holiday access, the Epic Day Pass allows guests to ski and ride any day(s) throughout the season and can be used at any of Vail Resorts’ North American owned and operated resorts.

Other Things To Now About Keystone Lift Passes
The main thing to know is that lift tickets limited during holiday periods and you may not be able to purchase lift tickets during this time. Epic pass holder get benefit ticket to share with family and friends.

Epic Pass holder benefit ticket are a discounted lift tickets. The other way to get a discounted lift ticket is to pre purchase. Lift ticket discounts are offered to those who book early. Discount lift tickets go off sale each season so it’s best to book online to secure your discount lift tickets. You will need a lift ticket to join any ski and ride school programs.
