How to get To Wengen & Grindelwald Ski Resorts
Flying to Wengen
Wengen is located 221 km from Geneva International Airport. To transfer from the airport to the resort is around two hours and 30 minutes by road.
By rail
Via Bern or Lucerne to Interlaken-Ost. Change to the Bernese Oberland Railway to Lauterbrunnen. Change to the Wengernalp Railway to Wengen.
By car
Wengen is car-free, so plan your travel via Bern or Lucerne and onto Interlaken. From the south via the Simplon Pass and the Lötschberg car-transport train to Interlaken, then follow the signs to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen.
Wengen lies in the heart of the Jungfrau region and is set on a sloping shelf above the Lauterbrunnen valley, opposite Mürren. It is accessible only by the Wengernalp Cog Railway, which takes about 15 minutes to reach Wengen itself. Parking is available in the car park at the railway station.
Getting to Grindelwald
By rail
Via Bern or Lucerne to Interlaken-Ost. Change to the Bernese Oberland Railway to Grindelwald.
By car
Via Bern or Lucerne to Interlaken. Or the Simplon Pass and the Lötschberg car-transport train to Interlaken. Then follow the signs to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen.
