Group Lessons
There are many benefits to enrolling in a group lesson at the Steamboat Snow School. Firstly, you get to ski and ride with your ski coach from 9:30 AM till 3 PM so during the day you won’t just cover a lot of terrain but you can cover quite a lot of questions and answers about your technique. What is working and also learn what you can do to improve it. Another benefit of group lessons is that you will be surrounded with either skiers if you’re in a ski lesson or snowboarder if you’re in a snowboard lesson of similar abilities. And the focus isn’t always on you so there are lots of different ways to improve just by listening in on what the instructor is explaining to the others in the group. One of the final benefits of a group lesson is it’s a great way to learn the mountain and discover some runs that suit you and also you may make a new friend or two. Note: Lessons are either ski lessons and snowboard lessons, you can’t have a mix of the two.
Private Lessons
If you can stretch the budget, this style of lesson is going to fast-track your improvement and enjoyment of your skiing and riding. the power of a private lesson is the one-on-one focus, however, you can have up to five skiers riders of the same ability per private lesson. private lessons are either for all snowboarders or all skiers. If you are choosing to have a private lesson with a young child aged 5 to 6 years it’s a maximum of two people.
Who Can Benefit from Steamboat Snow School?
Obviously, anyone can benefit from lesson instruction but it’s interesting how you can benefit. Sometimes people take a lesson because they are new to the area and they want the instructor to show them the best places to ski and ride for their ability. For single skiers and riders, it can be because they don’t like to ski by themselves and so enrolling in a lesson is a great way to make new ski friends and have company for the day.
