Aspen Ski And Snowboard School
On Aspen Mountain, the Aspen Snowmass Ski & Snowboard School offers ski lessons and snowboard lessons geared to take your skiing and riding to the next level. Fine-tune your turns on long blue groomers which have hosted World Cup races, and progress your skills in the mountain’s glades, bumps, and steeps.
Learners should head to Snowmass or Buttermilk for lessons as the terrain does not allow for first-timers and the truly new to skiing and snowboarding to be taught on either Aspen Mountain or Aspen Highlands.
Aspen Private Lessons
Private lessons are available for up to five participants of similar ability and on the same equipment either you all ski or all snowboard. Private lessons offer flexible meeting times and places across the four mountains. Private lessons offer custom tailored teaching, and priority lift access during your lesson time. If you don’t want a lot of instruction you can ask for more mountain guiding. A private lesson is available in full-day lessons and half-day lessons. Full-day lessons run 9 am – 3 pm. Half-day mornings run 9 am – 12 pm. Of half-day afternoon run from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm.
Aspen Adult Group Lessons
Max five (participant) group lessons are the more affordable option if you are booking yourself or a couple of others in and you are grouped in similar abilities. These come in full-day ski lessons and snowboard lessons on the ski hill.
There are also First Time skiers or snowboard lessons, Adult Race Clinics (race gear and protective clothing are recommended and helmets are mandatory), and Women’s Edge Ski Clinics.
For learning how to handle steep tricky terrain it is hard to go past taking a lesson at Aspen Highlands. This mountain offers the perfect opportunity to find out what big-mountain skiing is all about under the guidance of a professional.
Aspen Snowmass Child Group Lessons
Child lessons are available on all four mountains depending on their ability. Buttermilk calls itself “the best beginner mountain in North America”. There is nothing intimidating here. The base area offers The Hideout — an integrated play-and-learning area for children in ski school ages 2 ½ to 6 years old that smooths the transition to skiing and boarding. Snowmass is also excellent for entry-level skiers and snowboarders.
Child Group Lessons include Ages 2.5–3 Year Old Programs, Max 5 Group Lesson Ages 3 & 4, Max 5 Group Lesson Ages 5 & 6, and Max 5 Group Lesson Ages 7 To 12.
Aspen Snowmass Teen Group Lessons
Fun, fun, and more fun along with miles, miles, and more miles of skiing and snowboarding will elevate your teen’s performance whether they realize they are being taught or not.
Lessons come in Max 5 Group Ski & Snowboard Lesson Ages 13 to 17, and Aspen Highlands Program Ages 7 To 14. Aspen Highlands lessons run from January to March on the ski hill.

Aspens Snowmass four mountains are adaptive program friendly and with specialty programs like Challenge Aspen and Ascendigo, there is every opportunity for success and a great time across the slopes.
Aspen Speciality Programs
Terrain park fans must take lessons with the Park & Pipe Freestyle-Certified Pros in Buttermilk’s S3 Park, where instructors can introduce them to all the skills they will need to ride rails, boxes, and pipes.
