Whistler Ski Schools & Lessons

From childminding to kids, youth and adult group and private lessons for skiers and boarders, to park and pipe, backcountry right up to becoming a ski instructor training programs, there’s a program to help you gain confidence, learn new skills, or simply avoid the lift lines this season.

Whistler Childcare / Daycare for 18 to 48 months

Drop-off is from 8 am to 9.30 am. Pick up is 3.30 pm, where you are required to sign your child out.

Whistler Daycare Locations:

Westin Resort – Winter Blackcomb Base – Winter Creekside – Winter

Teddy Bear Daycare – 3 to 5 years

Available year-round. Drop-off is from 7.30 am to 10 am. You will need to supply your child’s food for the day. Pick up by 6 pm.

Whistler Kids Ski School Camp & Daily Programs

If you have adventurous little ones aged three and four then Whistler Blackcomb has an adventure camp program designed just for the very young kids with fun events, themes, and activities where your child keeps the same instructor for the whole week. All camp starts on a Monday and runs for either three or five days.

For the kids aged 5 to 12 years, they haven’t been forgotten either with their own adventure camp program with a maximum of six children per instructor. Ski school camp programs are a great way for kids to meet new friends while learning some new skills along the way. Camps begin on a Monday and run for 3 to 5 days.

There are also specific daily group lessons for kids aged 3 to 4 years old and the older kids aged 5 to 12 years old.

Tips for Parents

Program Locations:

It’s recommended you check your child in the night before and ideally collect any tickets and rentals then. Morning check-in at sales/ rentals is between 8 am and 8.45 am. If rentals and tickets are required, it’s recommended you arrive early at around 8 am.

Children should be ready to start at 8.45 am. Child pick-up is between 3.15 pm – 3.30 pm.

Whistler Kids Snowboard Camp & Daily Programs

Multi-day camp programs begin from ages 4 to 6 and 7 – 12. There are also daily group lessons for the same age groups.

Whistler Youth Ski School Camp & Daily Programs

For the bigger kids aged 13 to 18, there is the opportunity to improve your skills and gain confidence in the big mountain experience, head into the massive train park, grind some rails or learn how to go off the kicker successfully in a Ride Tribe group lesson.

Ride Tribe Group Lessons details

Meet: At the patio of the Garibaldi Lift Company at the Ride Tribe Signs.

Groups return to the deck of the Carleton by 3:30 pm.

Whistler Youth Snowboard Camp & Daily Programs

Ride tribe snowboard 5-day programs are for ages 13 to 18 years old offering the full mountain experience. There are also daily group lessons and one-day Big Mountain Awareness Camps run by Extremely Canadian and park freeride lessons for small groups of up to three advanced riders.

Whistler Blackcomb Adult Snowsports & Ski and Snowboard Lessons

Whatever it is you’re looking for in terms of ski and snowboard lessons and programs, chances are Whistler Blackcomb will have something to suit you, offering private lessons and guides to ski with for all ages.

An adult group lesson program called Max4, which means will only ever be a maximum of four students per instructor. Adult camp programs called The Camp, which starts on a Monday for intermediate to expert skiers that runs for 3 to 4 days and includes private hill space, video analysis, and even some racecourse training for those who want it.

There is also a family private lesson and guided ski and snowboard that you tailored to your specific family needs, where you can split time with your guide and maximize your time on the slope as a family together.

You can also choose to ski and snowboard with an Olympian, park 101 basics, an Extremely Canadian adventure, a women’s ski camp program, or a mogul clinic with two times Olympian John Smart.

Other Things To Know About Whistler Blackcomb Ski And Snowboard School

Whistler Village is a great base and you can access the slopes from the Whistler Village Gondola. The snow school is one of the best in Canada. Whistler Village is home to the Olympic Park. There are so many options from adult group lessons, ski camps, with world-class instructors that ski and ride Blackcomb Mountain and Whistler Mountain. Lessons give you lift line priority. You can also stay in the Creekside Village. Adult lessons are run by world-class instructors.
